Bojana is an author-illustrator based in Sweden.

Originally from Belgrade, Serbia, in the mid-90s she moved Ottawa, Canada, where she learned digital illustration and freelanced in marketing and animation for several years.

Eventually she returned home and graduated from the University of Arts in Belgrade in 2006 with a Master of Fine Arts degree. In 2014, Bojana relocated to Slovenia, where she fulfilled her dream of becoming an author-illustrator.

In 2017 and 2023 her illustrations were nominated for the Levstik Award, a Slovenian literary prize awarded for achievements in children’s literature. In 2019 she was awarded the Hinko Smrekar Accolade at the 13th Biennial of Slovene Book Illustration in Ljubljana. In 2023 she won the Best of the Best award at the Hiii Illustration International Competition in China. Her illustrations were part of the Slovenian illustrators' exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2024, representing Slovenia as the Guest of Honor. Her work is published internationally.

She is a member of The Association of Swedish Illustrators and Graphic Designers, Illustratörcentrum and Center ilustracije in Slovenia.

Bojana has illustrated more than 20 books, including her first Swedish project, Cirkusvår, written by Mårten Sandén and published by Rabén & Sjögren publishers in 2026. She is available for international publishing contracts and remote freelance projects.
