Bojana is an illustrator and fine artist based in Sweden.

Born in 1974, she grew up in Belgrade, Serbia (then Yugoslavia). After high school she moved to Canada, where she learned digital illustration and freelanced in illustration and animation for several years. Eventually she migrated back to the Old World and graduated from the University of Arts in Belgrade in 2006 with a Master of Fine Arts degree. In 2014, Bojana relocated to Slovenia, where she fulfilled the dream of becoming an author/illustrator.

In 2017 and 2023 her illustrations were nominated for the Levstik Award, a Slovenian literary prize awarded for achievements in children’s literature. In 2019 she was awarded the Hinko Smrekar Accolade at the 13th Biennial of Slovene Book Illustration in Ljubljana. Her work is published internationally.

Since 2020 Bojana is living and working in Sweden. She is a member of The Association of Swedish Illustrators and Graphic Designers, Illustratörcentrum and Center ilustracije in Slovenia. Her illustrations were part of the Slovenian illustrators' exhibition at the project Slovenia, Guest of Honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023. She is also one of the illustrators selected to represent Slovenia as the Guest of Honor at the Bologna Children's Book Fair 2024.
